"Where else can those ads be posted? .... etc.."

Since there is very little of this page that isn't already an ad I'd say they have pretty much run out of places to put them. I've written to Tribe directly and commented on several tribes about it and unfortunately the only positive thing I have left to say is they positively do not care. The ads in threads are just plain rude and they know it. There are many ways to deal with the funding issue besides shoving flashing banner ads in our faces. They could limit the number of photos people can post to 100 for starters. That wouldn't raise money but it would save server costs. There have been huge lengthy threads about this with many good suggestions and the response has been silence. Silence and more ads. Ad blockers seem to work for most but it's a step I've been reluctant to take so far. I don't mind an ad in the page somewhere. I know how things work. But Tribe is more ad heavy than any other site I use by a long shot. It's unfortunate for sure but hey.. I have more time for other things now that I log on to Tribe much less often and you can bet someone is working on an ad free version of the same thing somewhere right now. Tribe will be left to rot when we all move on to the next thing. You would think they might have learned a thing or two from Friendster's policy of shut-up-and-take-it but I guess not. Of that I'm positive.
