Re: Entertainment Industry QA
Thu, September 1, 2005 - 1:54 PMOkay.. Nobody here seems to know much about it except that it's a huge pain in the ass to gather all the info needed to be part of it. Years of paystubs etc. The general feeling is that if there is a payout at the end it will be too small to worry about. I guess it all stems from someone's paystub not being right and they figure it's happened enough to make a class action out of it. -

Re: Entertainment Industry QA
Mon, September 12, 2005 - 6:51 AMYou might be right......however it makes me think of all the timecards that have been changed through the years, and all the meal penalties, overtimes, etc not given. I think they are sitting on a hot chair. If people start pulling out their stubs, wow!!!!!!!
Not to mention the silly pay they give PA's which is barely nothing and on top of that they work them forever, which is already totally abusive, and in most cases they don't get overtime. So they end up working for 2.00 an hour......!
Maybe there should be a union of PA's????????
Well lets hope that this class action is a good thing for us, that $$$$ comes our way and that it teaches a lesson to those that abuse others.

Re: Entertainment Industry QA
Tue, October 4, 2005 - 1:47 PMI was going to try to submit, but I could find all the years of my pay stubs. I figured that if it goes thru, we won't have to do the work, that they will (whomever is being sued) have to do all the work locating peoples money that is owed. -

Fri, October 21, 2005 - 9:35 PMcould you please post a link to this?
i also got the letter and called in (found a number in the small print) and got a recording that told me nothing.
also called epsg about it - nothing.
i agree that if you don't understand it, don't do anything, but i think that if you don't do anything about it, you're already included in it. is this right? -

Re: Entertainment Industry QA
Mon, November 14, 2005 - 7:41 AMWell, this issue is complicated, but I have to say that it gives us all the opportunity to see how things on paper have weight.
If it's not in writing it doesn/t matter........
So next time you do timecards, make a copy for yourself, and keep a journal of the hours you worked. It really helps!!!!!
cheers
